Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
How Long Does My Hair need to be?
Your hair should be 1/4 of an inch or longer for optimal hair removal. This is about 2 weeks of grow out for most people.
How Often Will I Need Body Sugaring Treatments?
Our sugarist will be pleased to consult with you, free of charge and without obligation, on a program of treatments tailored to your specific needs. For the most satisfactory results, appointments are scheduled 4—6 weeks apart , since individual hair growth varies per person.
Your first 3 appointments are the most important.
Planning to don a sexy swimsuit in the French Riviera this year? If you want to use body sugaring to soften or reduce hair, it is important that your first 3 treatments be booked fairly close together. These are your most important appointments as they will quickly reduce the overall density of the hair and soften coarse, stubborn hair. For best results, begin booking your treatments 6 to 9 months before the date that you would like to see your new smooth skin. Regular sugaring treatments result in less painful, faster removal of hair, and allow for slower growth of hair which can lead to permanent reduction. Personal client testimonies reveal long term results are better than laser!
If I use Retin-A. Avage, Differin, Renova, antibiotics or Accutane…Can I still get sugared?
Unfortunately, not on the areas treated with those products. If you are using any of these topical retinoid creams for acne or fine lines on your face, we would not be able to sugar anywhere on your face. However ….It is still ok to get any other areas done. If you are on Accutane or taking antibiotics, or have been on Accutane in the last six months, we cannot sugar you at all. We are happy to offer you a brow tweezing. Sugaring or waxing while on Accutane can cause SEVERE lifting of the skin and can damage and scar the skin.
Preparing Your Skin for Treatment
Please do not shave or use depilatory creams between appointments as this will interfere with your skincare goal to diminish hair and achieve the ultimate smooth. Regular exfoliating and proper aftercare between appointments will greatly improve the efficacy of your treatments!
